4x4 tour in the North of Martinique

Embark on a day trip in a 4x4 in the North of Martinique and discover a wilder, tropical and authentic side of the island with an experienced guide.

Starting from Trois-Îlets or Rivière-Salée, head north, passing through sugarcane plantations and banana groves. Several stops offer opportunities to discover the landscapes, tropical vegetation, and local culture.

The excursion continues in the heart of the rainforest with a swimming break at the waterfall, tastings of local products and a Creole meal at a local's home.

The day also includes a visit to a distillery with rum tasting, before returning to the south of the island.

An ideal excursion to discover the interior of Martinique, its rainforest, its traditions and its landscapes far from the exclusively beach circuits.

Departing from Anse Mitan or Trois Ilets at 7:00 or 7:30 am, heading towards the wild north of the island, you will cross sugarcane fields and banana plantations , with many stops and commentary on the local culture, fauna and flora, splendid viewpoints with memorable photo opportunities, then you will be immersed in the rainforest with its density and magnificent colors, a short swimming stop is planned at the Saut du Gendarme waterfall , small local tastings by the rivers, a delicious meal at a local's home , and a visit to a distillery with rum tasting and the possibility of buying some on site! Return between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

Please note that the distillery tour varies depending on the provider: Saint James, JM or Habitation Saint Etienne!
